Lutz Goehring
I graduated as DVM from Utrecht University, the Netherlands, and pursued a residency in equine internal medicine in Virginia, USA. I started studying Equid alphaherpesvirus 1 (EHV-1) as part of my Ph.D., which I received in 2005. From then on, EHV-1 stuck to me. It brought me to Colorado, then to Munich, and back to Kentucky at the Gluck Equine Research Center. I am focusing on transmission dynamics and latency.
